Even though Eintracht had endured a run of eight winless matches across all competitions at the start of the season, Oliver Glasner's men have improved their form massively since then. In fact, the Eagles have won seven out of their last 10 matches in all competitions while losing just once. Eintracht's most recent victory over Mainz (1-0) on December 18 means that Glasner's side sit in sixth in the German top flight table with 27 points.

While Jesper Lindstrom and Danny da Costa are unavailable for the hosts due to Covid-19, Jens Petter Hauge and Christopher Lenz will play no part through respective injury woes. Aymen Barkok, in turn, is out of Saturday's clash due to his AFCON duties. Dortmund, meanwhile, will be without their two key goalkeepers Gregor Kobel and Roman Burki on the weekend due to illness and injury respectively. Mateu Morey, Marcel Schmelzer, Manuel Akanji and Dan-Axel Zagadou will not help the visitors at the Commerzbank-Arena for various reasons, mostly injuries.
Prediction
Even though Dortmund destroyed Eintracht 5-2 in their previous head-to-head meeting in August, we'd say that the Eagles are more than capable of getting even with BVB for that painfull defeat this time around, given their recent rise in form. Still, Borussia remain the hot favourites to finish as the runners-up in the 2021/22 Bundesliga season and to claim all three points on Saturday. Therefore, we do expect both sides to present us with another thrilling encounter on the weekend just like they did in the first part of the current campaign.
