It's been two weeks since Tottenham and Chelsea saw off West Ham (2-1) and Brentford (2-0) respectively in the competition's quarter-finals. Both the Blues and Spurs have gone three Premier League games unbeaten since then with Thomas Tuchel's men beating Aston Villa (3-1) before registering back-to-back draws with Brighton (1-1) and Liverpool (2-2) and Antonio Conte's side claiming victories against Crystal Palace (3-0) and Watford (1-0) while sharing points with Southampton (1-1) in between.

It remains to be seen if Romelu Lukaku will be included in Tuchel's squad on Wednesday after being left out against Liverpool due to his controversial comments about his situation at Chelsea. The hosts' first-choice keeper Edouard Mendy, meanwhile, is unavailable as he's with Senegal for the Africa Cup of Nations. Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Andreas Christensen and Timo Werner, for their part, will play no part in this one for various reasons, mostly injuries. Cristian Romero, Ryan Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn, in turn, remain sidelined for the visiting side.
