Even though both sides lost their opening games at this summer's European Championship, it's the Ukrainians who are placed as the hot favourites to take all three points in this encounter. The thing is that Andriy Shevchenko's men were close to a magnificent comeback against the Netherlands in their tournament's opener on Sunday as they managed to make it 2-2 in Amsterdam thanks to goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Roman Yaremchuk despite conceding twice after the break. Denzel Dumfries's 85th-minute header, however, earned a 3-2 victory for Frank De Boer's side.

North Macedonia, for their part, were destroyed by Austria 3-1 in their first ever match at a major tournament on the same day. Igor Angelovski's men will arguably leave this summer's Euro's after the group stage but you can't deny the Lynxes' effort to earn some points in the Group C.

Oleksandr Zubkov won't help the 'hosts' in Bucharest after being forced off vs the Netherlands with a foot injury. Angelovski, in turn, has a fully fit squad at his disposal.

Prediction

As mentioned, there are very few who expect North Macedonia to cause problems to Ukraine in this one. Neither do we after what we've seen from both teams over the weekend. Still, the Ukrainians' defense looked far from solid in Amsterdam so it would be no surprise if Goran Pandev and Co. find the back of the net against Shevchenko's crop.
