Despite enjoying a perfect start to the 2020/21 campaign in the Spanish top flight, Sociedad's form has soured lately. Imanol Alguacil's men haven't registered a win in eight consecutive games across all competitions, including the latest defeats at the hands of Barcelona and Levante. La Real are now third in the table, three points adrift of league leaders Atletico.

The Madrid giants, however, have three games in hand over their Tuesday's opponents. Diego Simeone's men suffered their first and only La Liga defeat in the Madrid derby two weeks ago but went on to claim all three points against Elche over the weekend thanks to Luis Suarez's brace and Diego Costa's goal from the penalty spot.

Sociedad's injury hell has been one of the major reasons behind the team's poor run of results. This time around the Basques are set to be without Adnan Januzaj, David Silva, Aritz Elustondo, Mikel Oyarzabal, Jon Guridi, Asier Illarramendi, Miguel Moya and Luca Sangalli. David Silva, on the other hand, is set to start on Tuesday.

Hector Herrera is the only injury absentee in Atletico's squad while Jose Maria Gimenez and Joao Felix remain doubtful for their side's trip to San Sebastian.

With all the injury issues in Alguacil's team we do expect Atletico to strengthen their position at the very top of the league standings by scooping a narrow victory at Anoeta.
