There probably couldn't be a better time for PSG to face in-form Monaco than this weekend as Mauricio Pochettino's side will host the Monegasques on the back of a 4-1 thrashing of Barcelona at Camp Nou in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 round in midweek. That was the Parisians' fifth victory on the bounce across all competitions. Nevertheless, PSG are still second in the league table as they are now one point adrift of leaders Lille.

Niko Kovac's men, meanwhile, have been unbeaten in their last ten matches in the Ligue 1 - eight wins and two draws. Monaco, however, have dropped to fourth in the standings after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Lorient last weekend. The Monegasques are five points behind the Parisians ahead of their forthcoming encounter.

While the injury absence of Juan Bernat can hardly be considered as a major blow for the hosts, PSG will be without Neymar and Angel Di Maria on Sunday as the star duo remain on the sidelines.

Kovac, in turn, has a fully fit squad at his disposal aside from Gelson Martins who is out with a knee problem.

Monaco defeated the Parisians 3-2 at home earlier this season but the Paris giants have improved significantly since then under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino. Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann tipped Kylian Mbappe to reach the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo after the 22-year-old's hat-trick at Camp Nou on Tuesday and we do expect the Frenchman to make the difference for PSG on Sunday.
