The Citizens will travel to Elland Road on the back of the 3-0 EFL Cup win over Burnley on Wednesday. Pep Guardiola's men, however, suffered a painful 5-2 home defeat at the hands of Leicester in the league last weekend after defeating Wolves 3-1 in their PL opener. Marcelo Bielsa's side, on the other hand, were knocked out of the EFL Cup in the previous round two weeks ago, so they have spent the last five days preparing for City's visit.
The Whites secured six points in their first three Premier League games since being promoted back to the English top flight in the summer. Actually, it could've been seven points as Leeds almost scooped a draw at Liverpool in the 2020/21 PL gameweek 1.
Guardiola will be without Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus at Elland Road as the strikers remain on the sidelines with respective injury woes. Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forsha, in turn, are unlikely to help the hosts this time around.
Prediction
It's hard to see City suffering back-to-back league defeats, especially after the Leicester horror show. Leeds, however, have proven themselves ready to rival the PL top clubs so far. We'd say you should expect goals from both ends in this clash.
