The Reds and the Gunners come to the encounter on the back of respective wins in the EFL Cup in midweek. Both clubs are also yet to drop points in the league after two gameweeks. It'll be the first huge test for Arsenal as they've faced Fulham and West Ham in the league this term so far. Liverpool, in turn, defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta have a few injury absentees ahead of the game but neither manager will miss their regular starters at Anfield. Liverpool's new boy Thiago Alcantara is likely to be given his debut start for the Merseysiders on Monday.

Prediction

Liverpool will be eager to get even with Arsenal for the defeat in the Community Shield in August. Arteta, on the other hand, proved himself ready to challenge the current PL champions in that curtain raiser. The Reds are indeed favourites to win in this game but we'd say that the Gunners are very capable of causing problems to Klopp's side.
