Manchester United will take on Everton in the Premier League matchday 7 at Old Trafford on Saturday. The kick-off is at 13:30 CEST.

Preview

Man United should've certainly expected a better start to the 2021/22 season, considering their recent loses to Young Boys in the Champions League, West Ham in the EFL Cup and Aston Villa in the PL. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men, however, have managed to return to winning ways in their most recent CL clash with Villarreal on Wednesday when Cristiano Ronaldo scooped a 2-1 victory for the Red Devils with his last gasp strike. Now, United will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's loss to Villa in the Premier League where they are now fourth, level on points with Man City, Chelsea and their forthcoming opponents.

Everton will also travel to Old Trafford on the back of a 2-0 win over Norwich City last Saturday in which they made ammends for a 3-0 loss to the Villans two weeks ago. The Toffees, for their part, have also already been elimiated from the EFL Cup by QPR but, as mentioned, sit in fifth in the league table, level on points with United.

Team news

Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo won't help the hosts on the weekend as they all remain on the sidelines while Luke Shaw is set to return to the starting XI after missing the Villarreal win through a minor injury. Fabian Delph, Seamus Coleman, Andre Gomes, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, in turn, are all unavailable for the visitors due to injury.

Prediction

Given their all but perfect start to the season under the guidance of former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, Everton could've arguably take some points away from the Red Devils this time around. Nevertheless, the absence of Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison makes it an impossible job to do, especially amid their recent defeats to Villa and QPR. United, for their part, badly need points in this one to keep up with leaders Liverpool who are now one point ahead of Solskjaer's crop and will face Man City on Sunday.
