Rome arch rivals Lazio and Roma are going to face off in the Derby della Capitale with new managers in charge as Maurizio Sarri and Jose Mourinho arrived in the Italian capital only a few months ago to replace Simone Inzaghi and Paulo Fonseca at the Biancocelesti and the Giallorossi respectively.
Both former Chelsea managers, however, have experinced completely opposite fortunes in Rome since then. Even though Sarri kicked off his reign at Lazio with back-to-back wins over Empoli and Spezia, his side have gone four games without a victory since then, including a 1-1 stalemate at Torino on Thursday. Thus, the Biancocelesti are in the seventh spot in the table right now.
Mourinho, on the other hand, boasts a record of seven wins and one loss across all competitions in his opening eight games at the helm of the Giallorossi. Roma's only loss this term came against Verona (3-2) last weekend but the Special One's side have already bounced back from it by defeating Udinese 1-0 in mid-week to find themselves in the fourth place in the standings with 12 points.

Mattia Zaccagni and Bobby Adekanye are the only two injury absentees in Sarri's set-up. Mourinho, meanwhile, will have to cope with the absence of Lorenzo Pellegrini (suspension) Leonardo Spinazzola (injury) in his first-ever Rome Derby.
Prediction
Well, Lazio's recent all but poor performances under Sarri certainly make their bitter rivals as the hot favourites for all three points in this one. What also doesn't make the Biancocelesti a favour is Roma's perfect start to life under Mourinho so it would be a huge surprise if Sarri's men manage to cause major problems to the in-form Giallorossi. Regardless of the outcome, we'd say that this clash is very likely to go down to the wire with both managers probably prefering to settle for a draw rather than losing in the first Rome Derby of the season.
